Donate Now By age 10, I was a two-time junior Olympic gymnast. Fast forward to the University of Colorado at Boulder where I won my first of two natural body-building titles. I also began personal training as a way to make money while earning my B.S. After graduating, I became a professional fire fighter. Having enjoyed a successful career in the fire service, I relocated to Southern California and started practicing Hatha Yoga, while training in Mixed Martial Arts and a new Zen art called Budokon. I soon earned the rank of Sensei, Blue Belt and went on to become Director of Teacher Training and helped develop the Academy manual and protocols. After sustaining a nearly career ending hip injury, I found immediate and lasting healing through Jill Miller's Yoga Tune Up practice. After studying with Jill for a few years, I became a teacher of Yoga Tune Up® at the prestigious Equinox Clubs and eventually went on to become Equinox Westwood's Group Fitness Manager while helping Jill to develop and launch her Teacher Training program nationally. I recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest and created a version of Yoga Tune Up® for Personal Trainers called Physio Tune Up®. It allows fitness professionals to create healthy, lasting change in their client's bodies using a smaller but effective set of Yoga Tune Up® techniques. I'm currently a licensed Yoga Tune Up® Integrated Teacher Trainer, an accredited continuing educator for the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. I am also a continuing educator for Equinox as well as the Pilates Method Alliance and Yoga Alliance. It's a great pleasure to teach integrated anatomy modules, Yoga Tune Up®workshops and on-going classes.
