Donate Now Julia Ruocco's dreams came true when she opened her studio, studiOMango, in Pennington New Jersey. After years of waiting tables and tending bar (and practicing yoga at home and around the world), she was finally able to do what she loves, and she owes it all to the practice. In 2008, Julia took a chance on a dream, (literally, she had a dream she was practicing yoga on a beach in India), flew to Goa, and trained under the guidance of the teachers with Tribe Yoga. Julia got her first gig teaching Gentle classes to triathletes at Knapps Cycle Shop. She put together Yoga for Equestrians at local horse farms, and added classes at Brazen Martial Arts. Wanting to offer this practice to everyone, not just serious yogi's, she thought about a space that was comfortable for anyone to join in class. There were not a lot of options in her area. She decided to create the vibe she wanted to practice in; fun, challenging, goofy, accepting. Julia's key philosophy of the practice kept her motivated to open the studio in 2011. That philosophy being that everything IS exactly as it should be, and if it's not, CHANGE IT! Trying to find equanimity in the paradox that is one's yoga practice, and one's life, is what drives Julia to teach.
