About Me  
I am excited to be a part of this fundraising effort through Dancing Mind Yoga in Falls Church, VA. The Africa Yoga Project (AYP) is Baron Baptiste's vision at work in the streets of Nairobi Kenya. This fundraising event provides financial support to 38 teachers from the slums of Nairobi to bring the transformative powers of the practice of yoga to their communities. AYP provides a healthy, motivational venue for young adults to engage in their community, build support systems and change their lives. It also provides educational scholarships, job training, food stipends, temporary housing and health services that otherwise would not be available. Because of this program, international exchange programs also exist for yoga teachers around the world to make a change in this part of the world. Please join me to practice yoga for two hours at Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Avenue, in Falls Church, VA with Paula Baake (Dancing Mind Yoga) on Sunday, October 2nd from 9:30-11:30 (registration begins at 8:30).
