Jessica Lustig

Donate Now Jessica has been loving and practicing yoga for over 10 years. Originally from Long Island, NY, Jessica practiced yoga at a variety of studios each week. During this time she developed a particular interest in hot yoga, practicing it whenever her schedule would allow. While in Albany attending school, she longed for a welcoming and challenging studio to practice her passion. Unsatisfied with the classes being offered in the area, she obtained her 200 hour teacher training and started instructing. Jessica then opened a studio in Albany so she could share her love of hot yoga with people in the capital district. Jessica believes that yoga is right for everyone and that if practiced regularly, can greatly increase a person’s overall quality of life. Jessica has always had a passion for teaching. She attended the University at Albany as an undergraduate with a major in history and as a graduate student studying Education. In December, 2010, Jessica graduated from SUNY Albany with a Masters of Science in Social Studies Education. In addition to teaching, Jessica has a love of learning. She actively seeks workshops and continuing education courses in the yoga and fitness realm so she can be the best instructor possible. Her most recent certifications include Balletone Sole Synthesis Instructor Training which she completed in October 2011 and YogaFit Sweat which she completed in March 2012. Jessica is currently diversifying her knowledge as an instructor and diving deep into various yoga specialties as she works towards obtaining her 500 hour E-RYT certification through YogaFit. Jessica's love of hot yoga and desire to teach and positively impact those around her led to The Hot Yoga Spot being born. Her business opened its doors in late 2010. She then founded Albany Hot Yoga LLC., D.B.A. The Hot Yoga Spot in early 2012.
